# Plans overview

# Plans Overview

Spell Slate offers two plans: Free and Supporter.

## Where to find plans

* **Plans** in the main navigation opens the pricing page where you can compare tiers and upgrade.
* When you hit a limit (for example, opening Breakdown on a second project while on Free), the app shows an upgrade message with a **View plans** link.
* From your **Organization** page, use **Billing and Invoices** to see your current plan and a link to view or change plans.

## First project logic (Free plan)

On the **Free** plan, production features (breakdown, schedule, shot lists, call sheets, budget) are available on your **first project only**. You can create unlimited script projects, but only the first project gets access to breakdown, scheduling, call sheets, and the rest of production.

The same rule applies to:

* **Lookbook** (first project only on Free)
* **Day Bible enhancements** (Makeup/Hair Day, Props Day, expanded Day Packet)

When you open a second or later project on Free, the Breakdown and Production nav items are disabled. Use **View plans** to upgrade to Supporter.

If you delete the project that had your free production slot, that slot does not move to another project. New projects stay script-only for production until you upgrade.

## Student discount

If your account email ends in **.edu**, a 50% discount is applied automatically when you check out. No code or action needed. The minimum billed amount is \$6.50.

If you signed up with a non-.edu address and are a student, you can contact support to apply the discount manually.
