# Shot list

# Shot list

The **shot list** is where you define shots per scene (or scene part): size, type, movement, coverage, setups, and banners. You create shots from script text in the **Builder**, then browse, edit, export, and share from the **View**.

**Visual** → **Shot List**. Use the tabs or links to switch between **Builder** and **View**.

* **Managing shot lists:** Builder and View, adding shots, groups, settings, banners, setups, export, and share. See [Managing shot lists](/managing-shot-lists).

* **Reference images or storyboards:** Adding a reference image or storyboard frame to each shot. See [Reference images and storyboards](/reference-images-and-storyboards).
* **Coverage by character:** Defining coverage when adding shots and viewing coverage by character in the Builder to see how much coverage you have for the scene. See [Using shots to confirm coverage (by character)](/coverage-by-character).
* **Sharing a shot list:** Create a view-only share link so anyone with the link can view the shot list without signing in. See [Sharing a shot list (view-only link)](/sharing-a-shot-list).
* **Camera, lens, and focal length:** Camera and lens on shots come from the project **Equipment** list (**Production** → **Equipment**). When a camera has unit labels (e.g. Cam A, Cam B), you can choose a camera designation for the shot. Use **Focal Length** (optional) to record the specific focal length for zoom lenses (e.g. 35mm), separate from the lens name. See [Equipment](/equipment).
