Tasks and Notes

Tasks

Two kinds of tasks: Project todos (one task per record, with assignee, notes, and comments) and Card todos (todo cards on boards, each card can have multiple items with assignees). Both flow into the same unified task list and My Tasks. Tasks in the project nav. My Tasks on the homepage. Project todo: From the project Tasks page, add title, assignee, priority, department, and due date. Use status values Not started, In progress, Blocked, and Done. Due dates can be set to today or future dates only. The assignee gets an email with key task details (status, priority, department, due date, and blocked reason when present). If someone else updates task details later, the assignee gets a follow-up update email. When a task is moved to Done, the creator gets an in-app notification. On the task detail page, click the comment icon/count badge to open the slide-out thread panel. Card todo: Add a todo card to a board (project, scene, character, item, etc.). Add items inside the card and assign them. Those items appear in the same project Tasks list and in My Tasks. Toggle completion on the board or open the item for full detail (priority, department, due date, blocked reason). Click the comment icon/count badge to open the same slide-out thread panel style used elsewhere in boards. Use saved views and filters to move fast in production:
  • Saved views: All tasks, My tasks, Blocked, AD view
  • Filters: status, source, priority, due window, assignee, department
For project todos, status changes are limited to the assignee, creator, and org admins/owner.

Notes (scratchpad)

A project scratchpad for free-form notes. Notes are organized in sections; you can create, edit, and delete them. Useful for production notes that do not belong to a single scene or element. Notes in the project nav. Open Notes, add or edit sections and notes. Save as you go. No special format; plain text.
