Equipment

ProductionEquipment is where you manage the cameras and lenses used on your project. The list stays in sync with the shot list: when you set a camera or lens on a shot, that camera or lens appears here if it is not already in the list.

Adding and editing

  • Add camera or Add lens to create a new row. Enter the name (e.g. FX6, Sony 24-70).
  • Set quantity. For cameras with quantity greater than 1, add unit labels (e.g. Cam A, Cam B) so they show correctly on the shot list and in reports.
  • Optionally set Rental cost and Cost is per day. These are used for the equipment-by-day report and for budget lines when you open the budget (see below).
Edit any item by clicking its name or Edit to change name, quantity, labels, or cost. On the list you can also change quantity (use the − and + buttons), rate (click the rate, type a value, then blur or press Enter), and labels (for cameras with quantity > 1, click Labels… and choose a label per unit) without opening the Edit page.

Removing equipment

Use Remove on a row. If that camera or lens is used on shots, you will be asked to confirm; those shots will no longer have that camera or lens assigned. After you confirm, the item is removed from the list.

Equipment by day

When the project has a preferred schedule, a link to Equipment by day appears on the Equipment page. Open it to see which cameras and lenses are used on each shoot day. If you entered rental costs and set “Cost is per day” on equipment, the report shows an estimated cost per day. See Reports for the full list of reports.

Budget

When you open the budget (or run Pull from breakdown), the app creates budget lines from your equipment list. Each camera or lens becomes a line in the Camera Equipment category (or Other / Miscellaneous if that category is not on your budget). Estimated amount and unit (per day vs flat) come from each item’s rental cost and “Cost is per day” setting. See Pull from breakdown and categories. More: Budget, Shot list, Reports.
