Billing and Invoices
View your subscription details, update your payment method, or cancel your plan from the Billing and Invoices tab.Where to find it
Click your account menu (or Organization in the layout) and open Billing and Invoices.What you see
- Current plan: Your tier (Free or Supporter) and billing interval
- Next billing date: When your next payment is due (or “No billing date” for Free)
- Monthly support amount: Your current Supporter contribution (when subscribed)
- Promotional discount: If a coupon or discount is applied, you see the coupon name (when available), discount value, and how long it lasts (one cycle, repeating with an end date, or forever). If your email ends in .edu, the student discount is applied automatically at checkout and shows here.
- Adjust your support: For active Supporter subscriptions, use the slider to set a new monthly amount. The update applies at the start of your next billing cycle.
Manage your subscription
- View plans and pricing: Opens the Plans page to compare tiers and upgrade or switch
- Manage subscription: Opens Plans so owners can compare or switch plans
- Update payment method: Opens the payment provider’s portal so you can change your card. Use this if your payment failed or you want to use a different card.
Cancel your plan
To cancel at the end of your current billing period:- Open Billing and Invoices
- Click Cancel plan at end of term
- Confirm. You keep your current plan until the period ends, then your account moves to Free.
Receipts
When a payment succeeds, Spell Slate sends a receipt email with plan info, amount, and next billing date. You can also access invoices through the payment provider’s portal if you use Update payment method.Related
